Established in 1947, Lyte have been manufacturing aluminium and glass fibre access equipment for over 65 years. Ladders & Towers from Lyte have been used in many countries all over the world and for all sorts of reasons. In 1953 a Lyte sectional aluminium ladder was used for one of the most famous expeditions in the world. The ascent to the summit of Mount Everest where it was used to negotiate the crevasse they encountered and we believe that ladder is still there today! Lyte's products have been used in many box office smash hit films as well as various popular television DIY programmes. Manufactured in Swansea, Lyte are proud to be one of the only companies still producing products in the UK. The majority of the Lyte portfolio is manufactured at the factory in South Wales. In an ever changing world of Health & Safety, Lyte ladders are fully aware of the issues our customers face and so, where relevant, all products are certified to the relevant BSI standards.
